My friend Val forwarded me an email this morning. I'm sure this has been going around for awhile now...but I don't get out much :) and it's the first time I've seen it, so I thought I'd share it with you all.

Chill out in the decompression (stress) capsule that is impermeable to sound and light.

Slide on down from a higher floor.

Don't worry about packing a lunch, enjoy the Google buffet.

Not your traditional work stations...you get multi large displays.

White boards everywhere. 'Ideas don't always come when seated in the office' says one of Google's managers.

Pool tables, video games etc. are available in many areas.

On each floor, there are private cabin areas where employees can attend to personal affairs.

Problem with your computer? No problem ... Bring it to this area where drinks are available while it is being fixed.

Professional massage therapy available.

This room provides massage chairs while you view relaxing aquariums.
There you have it...some of the perks of working for a company like Google. I like the buffet and massage. What do you like?

I’m all for the massage tables…but the buffets sound scrumptious too.

I read an article in a magazine recently where they had a poll of the big businesses in the US and Google was rated as the best place to work. I guess this is why. I want a massage chair/fish tank room at work lol

I would like to work in a place like that, although I think it would be enough if everybody (coworkers and manager) would be cooperative, have a clear vision, respect each other and… yes have a place to where let a while go the concentration and the stress. Usally here in Italy we do that in front of the coffeemachine (espresso :) ). I go there regularly with my coworkers, altough i don’t drink coffee, because it’s a moment for socialization.
BTW, some of the photos above look not like taken from real live, but shoot or modified professionally (like for a marketing campaign). For example look at the one with the slide. How many pictures do you have to shoot to get exactly the lady in the curve, smiling at you and with a sharp face ?

Yeah a room with a massage chair and fish tanks would definitely be cool.
@Bog Blogger…it’s been awhile…hope things are good…Espresso machine eh? Guess that would be similar to the socializing around the water cooler over here

I love the beach hut look in the tech room! My other favorites is the massage area (of course), the fish tanks and the private cabin areas.

Ok… I think I am going to quit working for myself. I thought that by working from home was the solution to life problems. I think the true solution to life problems it to work for Google. Holy cow that is amazing.
