What I’ve Been Up To – Blog Flipping

I’ve recently got into blog flipping..but more often so far, specifically, blog selling. I build a blog quickly, have some articles written, add a premium theme and sell it. It’s fun and an easy quick way to make a little bit of cash. A lot of times though I build a blog and keep it even though I originally wanted to sell it! It’s just that so much TLC goes into it I feel better just sitting on it for a while…because more often than not, you don’t get a whole lot for selling new blogs. When looking at the final dollar figure, say $200-$500 for a brand new blog…it might seem good, but after looking at the expenses and the time put in, it just doesn’t always seem worth it to me. If I wanted to make $10-$15 per hour, I’d be still working help desk!

Other times I find the buyer first, get the money, and then build the blog and hand it over, usually within a day…however….

I want to get more involved in actual flipping, the actual buying of a site or blog, adding some value and selling it. It seems to me that it would give me more bang for my buck. I spent a great deal of time over at SiteFlipU.com learning everything I can. He mostly talks about site selling though but calls it flipping. He recently started a blog flipping blueprint membership site with a one time fee. Seems to be a good deal and I considered paying for it but then I heard him slip up on a live broadcast and say that he’s waiting on a certain person to join the membership site BUT that same person he speaks of is listed as giving a testimonial on the sales page! That and I was told by 2 people that the membership site is just a regurgitation of what’s on his blog (site selling tactics, not site flipping) with a few extra saturated “bonuses”.

So..I kept looking. Then I found something purely by accident…and the story turns out pretty interesting so read on…

I’ve been a big fan of Ed Dale and Dan Raine ever since I started with 30 Day Challenge. (uh oh…the lady with the 30 day challenge Google alert and the 30 day challenge shrine in her home is going to come and comment saying that I’m a mean person lol)….Anyway, I was bored last night so…I went over to TubbyNerd.com to see what’s up. That’s Ed Dale’s blog and I’ve never been but I’ve heard it mentioned a lot so I wanted to see what he talks about over there. Guitars and Internet Marketing mostly…then I seen a link for Dominiche. Again, something I heard of before but I wasn’t sure what it was. I had a feeling it was a shortened way of saying “dominating your niche” which it is…and that was interesting to me.

What I came across was a sales letter….a very long sales letter and I took the time to read the whole thing. It was exactly what I was looking for…not information on how to sell web sites, heck I’ve been doing that for 7 or 8 years in some capacity (and more recently with blogs)…This was a “real” site flipping product.

I read the whole thing and then looked at the price…it was over $2,000! Worth it if the sales letter pitch is accurate but I wasn’t prepared to dish out that kind of loot. So I closed my browser and started watching a TV show that had just finished downloading…

And you probably won’t believe this…but while watching my TV show, I got an email….and it was from Dain Raine and it was sent to Immediate Edge members (which I am one) and in the email it said that Dominiche Site/Blog Flipping training was going to be given FREE to Edge members as part of the membership! How cool is that!

As of this writing, the doors are closed to the Immediate Edge. But I just wanted to share this cool story. Membership has it’s privileges…and being patient and reading between the lines saves you $97 (which was the price of SiteFlipU membership last I checked).
