I was running a week longĀ contest with the prize being a copy of GoodSync Pro. The requirements were to add this blog to your Technorati Faves. Only 3 people helped me get some blog luv. Looks like GoodSync wasn't so popular among my readers...lol....
I randomly chose a winner using random.org. I dropped the names in a list in the order that they entered the contest and then scrambled them randomly. I then picked a random number from 1 to 3 and ended up with #2. So...I chose the 2nd person in the randomized list.
And The Winner Is...
JK Swopes! from how can I make money online.
Thanks for entering everyone and sorry it took so long to write this post...
I'll get a hold of ya, Mr. Swopes, with the registration key in a few. Congrats.

With this contest I’ve learned 3 important things:
1. You’ve to have a clear goal for what you want to archieve with your contest.
2. If you want that your contest gets viral, you’ve to ask people to do something on their blogs, because the people which reaches to your blog you already have access to, but forcing your readers to get you know on their blogs gives you far bigger visibility.
3. Never join a contest where Joe K Swopes has joined, because he’s the incarnation of Gladstone Gander !
LOL
Thanks for the contest Keith.
I strongly beleive your contest hasn’t been so crowded not due the price (I really wanted to win it), but due point 2.
Let me know what do you think about.

My goal wasn’t really to go viral…I wanted to reward my existing readers with something….and a sort of hint to say….”adding my blog to your Technorati Faves helps me out!”….Even by giving something of value, ppl still wouldn’t take the 30 seconds to do it…which speaks volumes to me.
