There are also a couple other ebay+wordpress addons besides phpbay (though from what I have read phpbay is probably the best of the bunch).

One is bayrss which is the same idea as phpbay but also has amazon integration so you can have ebay and amazon items on a page/post and such.

And another I saw recently is a free plugin that looks like it is coming along great so far: http://www.itsgottabered.com/wordbay/

There’s no plugin right? It’s part of the theme…no muss no fuss…add tags to your posts and BAM you are running a BANS-ish site…is that right?

It seems like a very very simplified way to implement this strategy. It’s a great idea but I think it caters to a different type of user…which is cool…I say go for it…

Are there any restrictions…like can you remove Garry’s links from the bottom?

Let me know if you decide to go with it. I’m working on a BANSCaseStudies site and that type of theme (script) deserves a spot on it.

I am literally just starting on the testing but…… it may be useless if the free version of PHPbay is any good, I’ll check that out too.

So I hope to be releasing the theme in the next few weeks to anyone who subscribes.

I forget to mention in the post that there is a free version of phpBay (scroll to the bottom of the page to find it) also available. It has it’s limitations but it’s still really slick and really easy to implement.

The full version has really advanced functionality, is easy to use, integrates into Wordpress (or not, up to you)…allows you to display auctions from multiple countries, unlimited use…and is priced just right….
