In this post I want to show you the simple process for setting up a campaign on 7Search. Plus I want to share with you some holiday coupons for extra ad credits for new AND existing advertisers of 7Search!

Remember with 7Search, you can customize each keyword in your campaign, and there is no quality score, so you could drop a bunch of keywords in just one campaign. For each keyword you can specify what your bid will be (of course), plus you can customize the title, description and destination URL.

Now… don’t take the lack of quality score to mean that you can get sloppy :) with your ads.. meaning, there is a reason Google gives you a higher quality score (and lower CPC) when the ad and landing page are highly relevant to the search term…

Google wants a good experience for it’s users.. (and you should to). Google wants them to get exactly what they are after. Your quality score may also go up when your click thru rate (CTR) goes up.. and what makes your CTR go up? Usually when the keyword being searched for shows up in the ad title and description it can help get more clicks..

Then when the user lands on your landing page, what can help with conversion? When displaying the keyword in the main title of the landing page, it makes the searcher feel they really stumbled on exactly what they were looking for which can help with conversions.

Therefore, leveraging the flexible keyword tool in 7Search by customizing each keyword should help with CTR (higher relevance), plus the free landing page template I provide may help with conversion because it allows you to pass in a keyword. The keyword will then show up in the title automatically.

Deposit funds into your account (there was no indication in the mailing I received from my affiliate manager how much the deposit has to be, and I haven’t heard back yet, and I wanted to get this out to you ASAP… but I’m guessing there is no minimum or else it would’ve been specified.. so try $1 and let me know).

Write “Holiday2010″ in the “My Current Notes” section.

Start running ads with your $50 ad credit!

Deposit $25 into your account.

Your balance should now be $75. Start running ads with your $50 ad credit!

In the screencast above I just added keywords manually just to show you the format. The 2 main keywords that I used have not received any traffic in the past 3 months (so 7Search discards them) which is why, if you noticed in the video, I only ended up with 1 keyword in my campaign. I knew ahead of time that they didn’t get traffic which is why I included the keyword “geo” in the initial step. I would like to point out that I would NEVER use that word for this campaign so please don’t look at this example as the ‘real-world’ way I use keywords. The intended purpose of this lesson was to just show you the simple process of setting up a campaign at 7Search.

You may or may not have read my post about getting converting targeted traffic at a penny per click… well, for a short time you can get the same traffic but for essentially 1/2 the price. I got an email today from my affiliate manager at 7Search and he tells me they will be matching your first $100 deposit during the month of July, which could give you traffic to your site(s) for a long time coming!!

Besides the cheap targeted traffic, here’s a few other reason why 7Search is a great place to advertise.

7Search Advertisers can start an account for just $25.00 U.S and get started driving quality traffic in minutes. With a minimum bid of just one cent, advertisers can count on a lower cost per visit and more affordable overall acquisition costs than high profile networks can provide.

7Search currently serves advertiser results for over one billion searches per month.

7Search protects advertisers from poor-quality traffic with extensive data validation and a patent-pending fraud detection system.

Two points of contact are provided for each account; access to the business development office to help your website grow and a designated campaign support person to help you manage your account available by phone, live chat, and email during business hours.

Providing pay-per-click solutions since 1999, 7Search has been an innovator in the pay per click advertising space and has been granted two U.S. patents with eight patents pending for search marketing.

7Search can help reach a wider audience than your competitors. Every one uses the top tier search networks. 7search can help you get an edge on your competition by targeting a new crowd.

I wrote about this in the past but I wanted to post about it again because it continues to help my bottom line. Also, the original post is so far buried in the archives, this topic needs some fresh air.

One Red Cent A Click For The Top Spot With 7Search PPC

A great way to send traffic to a web site or landing page with pay per click marketing is by using 7Search PPC. It’s perfect for beginners in terms of risk and ease of use. It has been steadily sending me targeted converting traffic for over a year now… and cheap traffic at that. It still amazes me when I launch a new campaign for a new niche how many keywords are still available at a penny a click for the top spot.

No Slaps And No Crazy Rules

You don’t have to be super particular about how you setup your web pages like you do with Google, MSN and Yahoo. I send traffic to one page static web sites. I haven’t added a contact form, about page, terms and conditions page, privacy policy page…none of that stuff. Just a one page site.

Easy But Flexible

Setting up a campaign with 7 Search PPC is very very easy. It has one of the easiest keyword tools that I’ve ever used. You can’t add keywords to your campaign that they don’t have statistics for in their database. It is also very flexible in that you can choose to use custom bids, custom ads and custom destination urls for each of your keywords. If you want to get fancy with it just use this format when adding keywords: keyword ** bid ** Custom Title ** Custom Description ** http://custom-destination-url.com. Otherwise, just dump in the keywords that were generated based on your root keyword.

Keyword Stats

7Search provides some great stats for the keywords you are bidding on. They show you the estimated number of searches per month, the estimated number of clicks for the top position and what the top 3 bid amounts are. You will know exactly what to bid to be in the top spot.

Over 200 Countries To Target

When you create a campaign you are able to select specific countries to target from 246 available countries.

Keyword Bidding Tip

When starting a campaign and using a bunch of keywords, it is sometimes just easy to accept the defaults. Don’t accept the default when it comes to the bid amount. It defaults at a nickel. And if you are the only bidder you will be paying the nickel! But you don’t have to. Drop it to a penny. Also, when you are in the edit bid amounts mode there is a smart bid option. From my experience the smart bid suggests the perfect bid amount 98% of the time. More often than not it was the bid amount I would have chosen myself, plus it doesn’t try to make you overbid for them to get more money. It’s fair in that regard and gets you in a great spot among the competitors. I use it everytime to simplify things.

Notifications

You can setup notifications so that you will know when you have been outbid which is handy. In fact, I believe it was on by default, but it’s been awhile since I started my account.

Give 7Search A Try

All I could say is try 7Search to see if it works for your niche. You will be pleasantly surprised at the volume of searches that 7Search gets for keywords that still have no bids on them.
