I've been sending some really cheap traffic to some of my sites recently and it has been converting so I thought I would share it with you. 7Search is a PPC engine that's been around since the dawn of PPC. It's a pretty simple system and relatively flexible.
Creating a 7Search Campaign
When you create a campaign with 7Search, it might be a little different than what you are used to. Your campaign doesn't have ad groups. It has 1 or more keywords and a default ad. If you want to create ads that are specific to a keyword you would add the keyword in this format: keyword ** bid ** Custom Title ** Custom Description ** http://custom-destination-url.com
You can customize your ad using the ###KEYWORD### variable, which will dynamically insert the keyword into your ad copy or URL.
Geotargeting
When creating your campaign you have the option to target your customers by geographic location. You are able to select specific countries from 246 available countries.
Adding Keywords
Adding keywords is a bit different too, and the 7Search keyword tool is pretty slick. First of all, you can't use keywords in your campaign unless they have received sufficient searches on the 7Search network during the past three months.
After entering your seed keyword to get keyword suggestions you are given some stats for the resulting keywords. They tell you the estimates searches per month, the estimated number of clicks for the top position and what the top 3 bid amounts are. You will know exactly what to bid to be in the top spot.
Keyword Bidding Tip
I just ran a quick test to get some keyword data by using the keyword "test". The top keyword that came up was "drug test". The #1 advertiser bid is $0.12 per click, the #2 advertiser bid is $0.08 per click and the #3 advertiser bid is $0.07 per click. You might think that the #1 advertiser would only have to pay $0.09 per click in this situation but they are actually paying the $0.12....which sucks. So...be careful and bid only a penny above the leading spot. I guess if you are in a bidding war you might want to up it to your true max to stop the war but in general, I just up it by a penny.
7Search tries to default you at $0.05 per click even if there are no advertisers for a particular keyword. Drop it back to a penny. Don't waste the $0.04!
Try 7Search
All I could say is try 7Search to see if it works for your niche. You'd be pleasantly surprised at the volume of searches that they get for keywords that still have no bids on them.
