How Do I Go About Downloading YouTube Videos & Spin Them to Make a Profit?

I have received several emails asking how to go about downloading YouTube videos and rebranding them to make a profit. Well, to be honest I don't partake in such activities anymore but I do know how and I will give you the quick and dirty steps. Please only download videos where you will not be stepping on any copyright toes. Opt for ones that are generic and non personal. A bunch of pictures with some tunes in the background maybe.

I'm not going to go into great deal how to do this but I will provide a quick overview. I am going to be creating another post shortly about how to use videos to direct link to an affiliate program, in great detail step by step, but by using your own unique videos instead of downloading YouTube videos. It will include the steps to: find an affiliate offer, buy your domain name and configure it to forward to the affiliate offer, easily create a unique video from scratch at Animoto.com with your brand or domain name, and then upload the videos to the various video sharing sites...plus a couple other promotion tips. First step is to 'UltraGet' some videos...UltraGet is free software. (learned of UltraGet from the Video Marketing post at CashTactics.net)

1) Download UltraGet and enter some YouTube URL's and click download. Super easy. Your downloaded files will be in FLV format. You should be able to include the URL to any FLV video, not just YouTube. I've only done it for YouTube vids but I'm sure they all work in the same fashion. Your downloaded files should be in an 'UltraGet\YouTube' folder in 'My Documents'.

2) Convert multiple videos at once and watermark them on the fly with an FLV to Video Converter (link will download the software - safe download)...you can try the software free. Converting to MPEG or AVI did the trick for me so try one of those. I think the limitation of the free version is that it puts it's own watermark in the video. If you can live with that...keep the free version. It may or may not timeout after a certain number of uses, I'm not sure. Works great though for batch conversion/watermarking of FLV videos. Of course include your domain name in the watermark image or text. Forward that domain to an affiliate offer URL.

3) Upload it to all the video sharing sites you can find. You can attempt this manually or use some kind of automated robot software. I grabbed a yearly subscription from Video Post Robot because I do it so often. I wish it was a one time fee but they do keep on top of the changes at the video sites and they add new sites as they come along. They also have a monthly subscription but you save a bundle going yearly. This video direct to affiliate offer shows it's effectiveness very quickly so try it for a buck for 7 days if a year is too much right now. I suspect after a week goes by you will have seen enough commissions to justify a subscription.

You have to put it in the work to see results. It's not going to be fast and easy at first. There may be a bit of a learning curve but the software that I chose is very easy to master. After a bit of practice things will start to happen a lot faster and eventually this will be just an additional income stream that doesn't require too much of your attention. But, like any other project, stick to it until completion, reach your goals, before moving onto something else. Use a dozen or so videos for the offer you are promoting or do more and out-compete everyone else.
