Comment Policy
written by Keith James LockI haven't been approving all comments and some of you have been asking why. I decided to implement a comment policy (and here it is!), which may change over time. If you feel my comment policy is too lax or too strict, please let me know.
I removed "nofollow" for all of the comments, so therefore the link from your name will have a "dofollow", as well as links in the comment itself. I have also added the CommentLuv plugin so that it will grab the last post from your blog and link to it from within your comment. Please don't look at this as an invitation for spam. I will review all comments and delete the spammy ones but not before sending them to Mr. Akismet.
Here are the general guidelines to follow for comments:
- Keyword Policy: Obvious keyword spam in your comments won't be accepted. If you'd like to use a short keyword or web site name as your Name, that's fine.
- Comment Content: One line comments in order to achieve backlinks is not accepted. Please express your true opinion in your comment and add some content. Responses to ongoing comment conversation is a different story, this really just applies to the first comment of the thread.
- I don't mind links in the comment but only if it is relevant. Don't just drop it in there to get people to come to your site for no other reason then to, um, get people to come to your site. Even spelling out your domain name without an actual link isn't OK. It's rude and unethical so it won't get approved.
That's really it. That's not too bad is it?
