It’s been over 2 months since I’ve wrote any posts for the blog series and honestly, this might be the last one. There is tons of info online laid out beautifully on how to do stuff with Wordpress, so to avoid re-inventing the wheel I will likely stop with this post.
I just wanted to write [...]

These review sites convert like crazy and using Wordpress and a slick plugin by Dan Grossman makes them pretty simple to setup. It’s not like a review site where you give your opinion about 3-5 similar products and create a Buy Now link for each one (which is also a high converting type of site).
The [...]

I hear a lot of complaints about the new version of Wordpress. Myself, I think it’s great. There have been a couple of things that have stopped me in my tracks wondering where the heck they were. For example…the page slug. The post slug is fine, it works, but the page slug for some reason [...]

It has been argued that the file structure of a Wordpress blog could leave you open to possible duplicate content penalties. Your posts are viewable on multiple pages of your blog so it could appear to search engines that the data is duplicated and therefore come across as spammy. To avoid that, some bloggers have [...]

It’s a good idea to keep your WordPress files up to date. There are some security fixes that come out on occasion and if you don’t apply the upgrade you may be prone to hacks, data loss, etc. Besides security fixes there are sometimes feature upgrades, like with the latest version of WordPress (2.5). In [...]

In this post I’m going to cover a couple easy ways to add stats tracking to your blog. First I’ll get into Google Analytics and then the Wordpress.com Stats plugin.
It’s very important, as I’m sure you’re aware, to keep an eye on the stats for your site or blog. You can find out things like; [...]

John Chow did a review the other day on JohnChow.com for MaxBlogPress. They paid $500 for the review so they can promote their new plugin that will easily add a FavIcon to your WordPress Blog. Here’s the review: MaxBlogPress Makes Favicons Even Easier
I realize that they did the review to gain exposure to their site [...]

There was a comment in a past post asking about adding the Social Bookmarking icons underneath WordPress posts. I personally use something that FeedBurner provides (FeedFlare) to accomplish that. The question stated that the icons were needed to help the posts look less “blah”. Well, the ones I use are simple text links so they [...]

This question comes from my friend Joyce of Health-Is-Natural.com. She submitted the question in the Q&A section of the blog and here is my best attempt at answering it.
But first, I’d like to get something out of the way. I have received emails from 3 people now suggesting that I am insensitive by displaying ads [...]
