Are You Repurposing Your Content?

November 16, 2009

Miscellaneous

I wrote a post about 2 months ago now about article stretching and repurposing. In the post I talked about some of the things that I do to get backlinks to my sites from authority web 2.0 sites. I received a lot of emails from people saying that they have heard bits of that before but have never found the time to do any of it. Some of these people also admitted that they aren’t making a significant amount of money online. I think, personally, putting in the extra effort to do that stuff may change that.. and they will start to see significant earnings. So.. make the time! The time put in to do this stuff has been well worth it for me.

I have always outsourced different parts of this content writing/creation but until recently I haven’t found anyone that did exactly what I wanted. I now have someone that I just send a quick email to and within a few days I have all of my content ready to be published.

Here’s what I get (and what I do with it)…

1) A 450-word, 100% unique copyscape passed article and 2 copyscape passed rewrites of the article. Sometimes I have her gear it to a specific keyword, sometimes I don’t..depends what my goal is. These articles get distributed to a few article sites.. namely EzineArticles.com, GoArticles.com and InfoBarrel.com. InfoBarrel btw gives you 4 do-follow, keyword rich backlinks per article. You can add 2 links to the body and 2 to the custom signature for that article.

2) I have her take one of the rewrites and convert it to a PDF. She adds in a related picture to dress it up a bit, then she adds links to my site within the article. I tell her which URL’s to link to and which keywords to link. Then I submit the PDF to PDF sharing sites… Scribd.com, Issuu.com and Docstoc.com.

3) She then reads one of the articles into a microphone and creates an mp3 file that I submit to podcast sites. Well.. actually.. I create a blog on blogger.com.. and add the podcast there. The blog’s feed is “burned” with a podcast friendly Feedburner feed. Then I submit the Feedburner feed to several podcast sites. Then, each time I add a new post to the blogger blog it is automatically sent to the podcast sites!

4) Then a PowerPoint presentation is created by summarizing one of the articles and breaking it up into about 10 slides. The presentation gets added to my Slideshare.net account.

5) She also creates a video by navigating through the slideshow and reading the slides. I then submit the video to a handful of video sharing sites, specifically ones that allow hyperlinks in the description like YouTube.

She does a great job with this stuff and always delivers what I ask for.. so.. to show my appreciation for all the good work she does (and to share some of my resources with you guys) I decided to write this post to help spread the word a bit about her service. She’s still working out the details so I’ll write another post shortly all about it when things are finalized.

The price is very very affordable, and the work is delivered quickly. She has all of the content back in less than a week. Depending on her workload, I sometimes get it back within 2 days!

Oh yeah….she’s still deciding on this so maybe I’m getting ahead of myself but I’m pretty excited about it so I’m going to tell ya anyways.. she might be also offering a cheap supplementary service where she will submit the content to her own accounts for you so you don’t have to even create accounts for yourself if you don’t feel like it. She has an Ezine Platinum account for example where her content gets approved much quicker than with normal accounts. Plus she already has a Blogger blog indexed and feeding the Podcast sites!

Additionally.. for those of you who would rather have your own accounts at the web 2.0 sites but don’t have the time to create them, she may be getting a small team together and adding a profile/account creation service… so stay tuned for that.

And the cherry on top?? She might be offering another piece to the puzzle where she will submit uniquely created “spun” content to her blog content syndication network which will gradually build backlinks to all of your content on the web 2.0 sites (plus your money site). This will allow your promotions to also be promoted! See my previous post to see how you can do this stuff on your own.

Anyway, with all of the services you could have a completely hands off traffic/backlink building campaign in place for you for a great price. And… I’m still working out the details but I’m looking at getting a coupon code for ya so you can get a discount on this already cheap service!

Ok.. let me get all the details and I’ll get back to you… but if you are more of the DIY type.. then do this stuff… it works! You can get your web 2.0 content ranking in the top spots in Google for some high trafficked keyword and your money site will be just 2 clicks away!

hi keith, do you use the article and the rewrites from part 1 for syndication networks like unique article wizard and syndicate kahuna? i have been thinking about joining one of them syndication networks but im not sure i write enough articles per month to get my moneys worth out of them. your probably pumping out hundreds of articles per month to make your dough online. Also are links from scribed and docstoc do follow links keith? i have bookmarked this post and the previous one. keep up the good work man, cheers, alan

Hey man, FTS is a free one. The free package doesn’t pack the same punch as the paid ones but it is still very effective.

Scribd’s profile link is dofollow and one of the Docstoc profile links is also dofollow… The actual PDF links aren’t even crawlable as far as I know but still good to bring human visitors across..

Oh.. ya, usually the GoArticles article I end up getting spun (by the same person) and submit it to SK, FTS..etc..

thanks for clearing that up keith. when i start to make ‘consistant’ income i will subscribe to a syndication network (through your link of course) but in the meantime i have purchased some ‘pay as you go’ credits for isnare and articleranks. Article ranks is new but has a really nice interface and is easy for a tech moron like me to use :) If i were to make mp3 files i would have to outsource it because i hate my irish accent :) But yes… it seems like you have a solid plan keith for link building and it seems to work well for you.Fair play. Ever thought about releasing your own product?

My own product? In terms of a membership site for information or a course or something similar? Nah, I feel better about sharing what I know for free..that way I have no obligations, I just do things as I please..plus I don’t mind the good karma if/when it comes my way :) But I have lots of ideas for php scripts and if I knew how to program in php I would sell the scripts (plus use them myself). I have one on the market right now doing quite well.

I was referring to like a blueprint what you do and how you do it,lists of resources/sites you use etc.. like a blueprint. i find with alot of these “guru” products, they are always missing something and full of hype. But im sure your readers appreciate you sharing the info for free. Well i cant comment on PHP because i know nothing about it, but im studying java at the moment and for me its extremely difficult. you could always outsource the scripts you have in mind or learn PHP yourself if its something your interested in
