If you are having trouble coming up with content to post to the wall of your Facebook page (you do have a Facebook page for your site don’t you?), then check out these 4 ways to post content automatically.
Remember, each post to the wall gets sent out to all followers so don’t overdo it.
-
The NetworkedBlogs App lets you add an RSS feed (from your site or blog) to their network and then syndicate the content (summarized with a link) to your wall.
-
AWeber lets you syndicate all broadcast messages (but not autoresponder messages) that you send to your lists to your Facebook page wall automatically. It won’t post the entire broadcast message, just a summary, and then link back to the message that shows up in the broadcast archives. Technically you can also add the broadcast archives feed to the NetworkedBlogs App and accomplish a similar thing, although I like this self-contained approach better personally.
-
Posterous allows you create a blog and auto-summarize and syndicate the content to your Facebook page wall (among plenty of other platforms!).
On a side note: Posterous is a great way to share content automatically in various social circles… including Twitter, Tumblr, Blogspot, LiveJournal, Xanga, WordPress.com, self hosted WordPress and any other platform that supports the MetaWebLog API and Really Simple Discovery. Don’t be concerned with duplicate content with this approach. Granted, all instances might not show up in top spots but if you have backlinks in the content they will contribute to SEO, plus, the human visitors that hang out in those platforms can see/read your content and click over to wherever you are linking.

Last but not least, another easy way to auto-post content to a Facebook wall is by using FacePress II. FacePress II is a WordPress plugin, so clearly it is specific to WordPress blogs. Sure, you can submit your WordPress RSS feed to the NetworkedBlogs Facebook App but this plugin gives you more control. For example, it allows you to decide which posts get syndicated to the Facebook wall, among other things. I generally like the NetworkedBlogs App just for static sites with manually created RSS feeds.
